Pairing procedure for Wii Remote controllers in [[iPi Recorder]] supports only standard Microsoft Bluetooth stack, which is used on Windows by default. The original Wii Remote Plus controller (with built-in Motion Plus sensor) works well with that stack. However, the newer model of Wii Remote Plus has some changes which do not allow it to operate correctly using Microsoft Bluetooth stack. The only solution that is currently known is to use Toshiba Bluetooth stack instead. Below you find an instruction to make new Wii Remote Plus work with iPi Recorder (starting from version '''2.2.3.30''').

= Do you need Toshiba Bluetooth stack for your controller? =

You can find out whether your Wii Remote Plus is newer or older by looking at its name as a Bluetooth device.

* Launch the standard Windows Add Bluetooth Device dialog.

* Press '''1+2''' buttons on your Wii Remote or the '''SYNC''' button under or on the battery box cover.

* Older Wii Remote will display as '''Nintendo RVL-CNT-01''', newer Wii Remote as '''Nintendo RVL-CNT-01-TR''' (the difference is in '''-TR''' suffix).
